Why am I building this ?

I made a movie. It won awards. And I still owe money.

In 2022, I released my first feature TURBO COLA.
It won Film Threat’s Independent Feature of the Year (2023) and Best Picture at multiple festivals.

I did everything by the book.
Signed with a reputable distributor.
Got placement on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, and Google Play.

The film was rented and purchased thousands of times.

And after all that success?

…I still owed the distributor money.

Here's What Actually Happened:

The distributor billed “recoupable expenses” for everything:

  • Encoding — $3,000

  • QC — $2,000

  • Graphics — $1,500

  • Marketing — $8,000

  • Captions — $3,000

  • Press releases — $5,000

Before I saw a single dollar, I had to recoup over $24,500.

After all their fees and cuts, my share was 5.2% of every sale.

If I had kept 90% instead of 30%, I would’ve made over $60,000 instead of owing money.
